This assignment is in collaboration with Dr Henry Astly located at the BRIC Core faculty in America. He is specialised in the behaviour, movement and patterns of animals. He gave us a lecture about snakes. About their environment, sizes, speed, patterns and even mimic snakes that look exactly like venomous ones. we want to see if citizens can recognize these different type of snakes.

Our assignment to create a clickable prototype for the course Visual Research. The goal of this prototype is to gain knowledge, collecting data for Citizin Science. We will do this by creating an application for your mobile phone. The application will have a maximum of 5 screens which includes the intro screen.

  • Minimum of three: Nature, city, ...
  • Day and night
  • high contrast and almost no contrast in colour
• Different amounts of patterns on one screen: 2,4,8,16
• Different speeds
• Basic colours 11: black, grey, brown, blue, green, red, yellow, pink, purple and orange
• 3 basic shapes: square, circle, rectangle, horizontal
• 9 Basic patterns: dots positive and negative, stripes vertical and horizontal, spots
• A minimum of 5 screens including Intro + User information
